Periodically, HF screens people with eye problems and provides free operations for appropriate patients with conditions such as cataracts using local surgeons and ophthalmologists. Other countries such as Benin also have programmes to provide prescription glasses and nutrition to prevent worsening eyesight depending upon local needs.

Medical Camps
HF has been running regular medical camps since 2005 every two months. On average 600 patients are attending. Our medical staff has been administering drugs to patients and also referring more serious cases to hospitals.

HF offers cheap and heavily discounted vocational training in IT and tailoring. IT training is offered to certificate level and is evolving. Elsewhere in West Africa, HF now offers Microsoft MCSE certified training.

Orphan Care
HF Nigeria is supporting 10 orphans. Each child is designated a foster parent to assist them with their basic needs and education.
